Several new language versions of Idea Informer are already available. Please find German, French, Dutch, Italian, and Danish localizations.

In order to change the language of your project please do the following:

• Sign in
• Go to your project settings
• Select the language you need in the Basic features tab
• Don’t forget to save the settings!

Please note, that you’ll need to update the code of your widget. In order to do it please select ‘Save and continue’ at the Widget tab of your settings, and then press Save again. Copy the new widget code and add it to your website instead of the old one.

Dear all, we are glad to announce that we start localizing Idea Informer.

If you have a project on Idea Informer you can set its language in the Settings. An interface (including both a widget and a project page) will be displayed in the language you’ve chosen. At the moment a Spanish version (beta) is available for use along with the English one. Idea Informer versions in Portuguese, Japanese, and French will be introduced in a while. Then we’ll proceed with other languages.

Please note that there can still be some inaccuracies in translation; we’d like to encourage the native speakers of Spanish to let us know if they find any mistake.

In order to change the language of your project please do the following:

Dear all, on March 18 Idea Informer was unavailable for several hours because of the problems at our hosting provider’s servers. By now the problem is resolved. Excuse us for inconveniences.

We would like to inform you of several updates implemented on Idea Informer recently:

• Now you are able to set a time zone of your Idea Informer project. Please find this option at the Basic features tab of your project settings.
• We have fixed the pre-moderation mode. The managers of the projects with pre-moderation can manage ideas and comments via a Moderation tab in the settings.
• Our customers are now able to edit the text in a widget tab according to their needs. We increased the text length up to 50 symbols.
• Verification system was developed: now it’s possible to verify the project using META tags in https.
• From now on anonymous users can comment on ideas (previously this opportunity was restricted).

We added an opportunity to divide ideas into categories in the HTML type of Idea Informer widget.

In order to have feedback divided into categories you should enable this option at the Categories tab of your project settings.

You can also choose the type of widget that suits your project best at the Widget tab. Let us remind you that feedback can be divided into four categories: ideas, problems, questions, and testimonials.

We have fixed Idea Informer notification system. Particularly, from now on all the users who are invited to become managers of the projects on Idea Informer will receive invitation with further instructions.

Invited users can either accept or reject an invitation; until the invitation is accepted a user will have no opportunity to manage a project.

Dear all, we have got some important updates we’d like to share with you.

Firstly, we have developed a so-called ‘classic’ Idea Informer feedback widget. Our team created the interface of this widget, which you can check here: your project Settings > Widget > Tab (standard) > Continue > Use classic widget > Demonstration. This widget will be set by default for all newly created projects, while the previously created ones will keep on using the custom widget. Still, if you want to change the type of widget you use you can do it in your project settings.

Besides, at the moment we are working hard to fix some bugs that are still present in our feedback system.

Recently the following improvements were implemented:

• Ideas counter was fixed as some users claimed that a number of ideas was displayed incorrectly.
• We have slightly modified the way comments are published in order to make the discussion easily readable.

Right after the major bugs are fixed (approximately within 2-4 weeks), we’ll introduce some brand new features including wider service localization.

We do also encourage you to take part in Idea Informer debugging. If you stumble upon any bug please let our support team know via idea(at)informer.com.

Yesterday we finally moved Idea Informer to new high capacity servers with communication path of better quality.

According to our partners’ requests, hosting was moved from the European servers to the US in order to improve response time. We managed to minimize service downtime and introduced intensive monitoring.

After monitoring new servers activity for 24 hours, we conclude that the planned mode is restored.

All servers are automatically monitored.
